The Trans Continental Race is an ultra distance road cycling endurance race covering the European continent. Although it has a different start and finish point each year, as well as different compulsory control points across the continent, the race usually kicks off somewhere in the northern region of Belgium or France, and finishes near the Mediterranean in the likes of Southern Bulgaria and Greece, with the 8th edition kicking off in Geraardsbergen, Belgium and finishing in Burgas, Bulgaria.
My job shooting the 8th edition was to be the finish line photographer, documenting those relieved and exhausted emotions when riders finally finished this gruelling competition of both physical and mental endurance.
